How to Split a PDF into Separate Pages or Files

Published 28 October 2026 by Adawat

Sometimes you only need part of a PDF: one invoice from a long statement, or the signed page of a contract. Splitting lets you keep just those pages as a new file.

When splitting helps

Use it to send only the pages someone needs, to share a single page without the rest, or to break a big document into smaller parts that are easier to upload.

How to split a PDF

  1. Open the Split PDF tool.
  2. Choose your PDF file.
  3. Select the pages you want to keep.
  4. Download the new file and check that the pages are correct.

Tips

Your original file is not changed, so keep it. The tool runs in your browser, so the file stays on your own device. If you need to remove pages instead, use Delete PDF pages, and to join files again use Merge PDF.
